What We Love
- We love being just steps away from the beach, plus the resort is very family friendly and it's not too big.
Things to Know
- With tons of free water activities to keep everyone busy, a friendly vibe and a cozy atmosphere, Bolongo Bay in St. Thomas is a perfect match for just about anybody.
Richard Doumeng, Managing Director, was recently awarded the "Golden Conch" Caribbean Hotelier of the Year Award by the Caribbean Hotel & Tourism Association. Get lost in the all-inclusive paradise at Bolongo Bay. Located on a 1,000-ft stretch of white sand, Bolongo Bay Beach Resort redefines the word "beachfront." Kick back on a lounge chair and watch the kids swim, or check out the freshwater pool for rum punch at the swim-up bar. After you've worked up an appetite, two open-air restaurants draw you in: lobster specialties are a hit at The Oasis, and we hear conch fritters at Iggies Beach Bar and Grill are delish. Wednesday nights, Iggies hosts the wild Carnival Extravaganza, with steel-pan tunes and a limbo show, or you catch a cab to Charlotte Amalie for more action.
Whether you're hanging out at the beach or seeing the sights, there are tons of things to do during the day. Start a game of beach volleyball, or challenge the kids to paddleboat races. Try parasailing, or book a snorkel or scuba excursion to see the underwater world. Day trips to nearby St. John, St. Croix and the British Virgin Islands are popular, but St. Thomas also has great appeal. Paradise Point has unforgettable views. The shoreline is beautiful from Magens Bay. And kids love feeding stingrays at Coral World.
Book an appointment with the massage therapist after a long day to unwind. Since Bolongo Bay is smaller and intimate, all 64 rooms are beachfront, so you can kick back and enjoy the Caribbean from the privacy of your balcony. Families don't have to navigate any pesky stairs with young children in the Beachfront Room, and if you're traveling on a budget, the Value Room is just right.

Huge Disappointment
After seeing the reviews and ratings I was pretty excited about going to this resort, as soon as I pulled up I know this was not what I expected from any all inclusive resort. It's really not a resort, more of a beach side hotel. The staff was great, very warm and friendly so this review doesn't reflect on the staff, severs or managers. Its just not very upscale or modern at all. The rooms were very old and haven't been updated in years, the worse part was the size of the bathroom and shower. Extremely small and low water pressure. The condition of the room did impact how much time I wanted to spend in it, however the pool area and grounds weren't much better. The pool area is way too small to be consider a resort pool, maybe ten chairs can fit around the pool and the menu was very, very basic. Again you had to sit at the pool because wasn't much else to do on the grounds of the "resort" no spa services, or other food choices on site. I will say Megan's Bay Beach was outstanding. Took a day to go there and really enjoyed it. It's worth the drive to get there but once there, loved the beach, the bar and the food. It was best part of my trip.

Relaxing week at Bolongo
We were looking for someplace off the beaten path with a laid back island vibe…and we found it. The food was delicious, the employees were gracious and helpful and the week we spent here was exactly what we needed to relax, reconnect and recharge. A

Paradise
This is our second time visiting Bolongo Bay. We got married here 10 years ago. We loved it so much, we came back to celebrate our 10 year anniversary and had a vow renewal. From our initial booking for our vow renewal with Lorie which was great. She didn't miss a beat as always to our arrival and the day of our vow renewal with Jahkeima. She was such a pleasure to work with. Jahkeima was very friendly and accommodating. Lorie and Jahkeima both went above and beyond to make our vow renewal truly special. If you are getting married and having a vow renewal. I highly recommend Bolongo Bay with Lorie and Jahkeima. Our photographer was Oliver. He was truly one of a kind. He made sure we took the perfect shots and any additional shots we requested he made sure we got it. Can't wait to see our pictures. We went snorkeling on the Catamaran and to Water Island (BIG thanks to Bolongo Bay) Both were great adventures. The drinks, food, entertainment every night was top notch. Even down to the other guests we met. Everyone was so nice and friendly. A special shout out to the ALL the staff at Iggies and the Oasis. All of you guys are truly amazing! You all made us feel right at home. Gage helped us with our bags at the front door and was always polite everytime we saw him. The pool was not crowded which was great. There was enough lounge chairs for everyone to use. I also can't forget shout out to the person who made my Birthday Cake. It was soooo delicious. Thank you, Thank you! Overall another amazing stay at Bolongo Bay. If you are thinking about visiting. Don't think about it, JUST DO IT. YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED!
