Check-in Policy - Deposits or credit/debit card hold authorizations are not requested at check-in. "Minimum age of 18 is required for check-in, an ID/Passport will be requested upon arrival.
Spring Break Policies -
1. Student / Spring Breaker Groups (21 years of age or older) will be accepted exclusively at the following 5 hotels:
Riu Santa Fe
Riu Cancun
Riu Caribe
Riu Latino
Riu Republica
2. All Student / Spring Breaker Group reservations are strictly On Request and will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis by the corresponding Destination Sales Department.
RIU Hotels & Resorts reserves the right of admission and may reject any request at its sole discretion.
3. Each Student / Spring Breaker Group request will be reviewed and quoted on a case-by-case basis. Quoted rates may be higher than current FIT/Group rates.
4. Student / Spring Breaker Groups are excluded from our Price match policy for contracted groups!
5. If a Student / Spring Breaker Group is accepted:
a. The number of rooms will be deducted from the contracted allotments
b. Minimum Age requirement: 21 years of age or older.
c. The Hotel may request proof of age in the form of passport or official ID
d. Each room must submit a signed liability agreement upon check-in.
6. At all other RIU properties Student Groups / Spring Breakers (either groups or individuals,
regardless of age) are not allowed at any time during the year
7. Guests disturbing or generating complaints from other guests or hotel may be removed
from the property, at their own expense.
a. Parties in rooms are not permitted
8. Definition of Student / Spring Breaker Groups
High school through college aged individuals who vacation in traditional or FIT Groups to celebrate their Spring Break. Any group or individual with these characteristics arriving at any Riu Hotel not listed above will not be admitted on property with no refund.
Please be advised that Riu Hotels & Resorts will use any and all means at our disposal to identify and cancel suspected Student / Spring Breaker Groups. Partners should abstain from quoting Riu properties for groups which they suspect may be youths traveling together for said purposes.
9. With regards to Riu Liability in these cases.
RIU Hotels & Resorts is in no way responsible for the consequences and or lawsuits that may ensue due to rejection of unauthorized spring breakers arriving on Riu property.
Riu Hotels and Resorts withholds right of admission and will take the necessary steps to safeguard the All-inclusive leisure experience for which it prides itself, and which our mutual clients have come to expect. We consider it our obligation to protect those clients against unruly, unsecure, unhealthy, dangerous, noisy, obnoxious and in any other way, disruptive behavior. Riu Hotels and Resorts has a zero-tolerance policy in regards to this issue.
10. Student / Spring Breaker Groups must comply with any protocols (hotel and government) in place at the time of stay at the hotel.
General Information - Room taxes and service fees are included in vacation price.
Minimum night stay restrictions may apply.
Reservation changes may not be permitted unless authorized by the hotel.

Its a large resort, everything is huge, the grounds, pools, numerous pools, ocean front pool is the best, buffets were huge with lots of good food. Tons of entertainment on schedule, nice live singers as well. Staff was friendly always tried to help if you asked. Overall a great choice. Riu parties arr really good if your into that, thats a must see.

A Huge Resort With Something for Everyone
We stayed at Riu Santa Fe as a family and overall had a really positive experience. The facilities were clean and well maintained throughout our stay. The resort is HUGE, but despite its reputation as a “party resort,” it genuinely offers something for everyone. Families should not be worried about staying here. There are plenty of areas where you can relax and enjoy the resort without feeling like you’re in the middle of a party atmosphere. The food was above expectations for an all-inclusive, especially one of this size. There was a good variety, everything we tried was solid, and most importantly, no one in our family got sick. The drinks were fantastic as well. Housekeeping did a solid job and our room was kept clean throughout the stay. A special mention to Nina and Joselin, who were incredibly accommodating when there was an A/C outage. What stood out most was that they didn’t just listen to our concerns or blindly apologize — they actively looked for solutions. They explained the issue, offered us options, followed up, and stayed on top of the situation. That kind of problem-solving and customer service really made a difference and left a very positive impression on us. They represented the RIU brand well. Special thanks to Nina, your professionalism will be remembered. The views from the resort are incredible. The beach vendors were also very polite — if you simply said “no thank you,” they respected it. Wi-Fi worked consistently throughout the resort as well, which was a nice surprise considering how large the property is. The beach was unswimmable during our stay, however, there were other options available if you’re looking for the beach. We also spent a day exploring Cabo San Lucas and thought it was beautiful. It felt fairly upscale, safe, was enjoyable to walk around, and the restaurants we visited were solid too. My only regret is not seeing San Jose too. Overall, Riu Santa Fe exceeded our expectations. It is a massive, lively resort, but it is much more than just a party destination. Between the facilities, food, staff, views, and atmosphere, there really is something for everyone, including families.

Overall Stay was great. Hotel was very clean. Enjoyed the entertainment and buffet was good. Resort is large, but enjoyed doing lots of walking. me and my husband will return.

Excellent
The Santa Fe was pretty great. We went on a last minute family trip with adult children. The room was great and we really enjoyed the different options of adult only pools

It was a good resort. Lots of food options. Unlimited drinks were flowing. So many pool options as well. Only complaint is the AC in the room was not working . I called twice and wasn’t getting any help.
