Outstanding Service and the Grounds and Pool were very enjoyable! Food was,always served hot and delicious! Enjoyable 2 days plus and We go there usually every Year at this time as I live on the Island and enjoy a Beach Resort getaway

The location is ok- about a 10-15min ride from the airport and into town where the shops are. When we arrived we were not greeted with welcome drinks but we were a bit early. The staff is really very friendly and there to make your stay enjoyable. The room is in much need of an update- the toilet and shower area was very dated and seemed yucky but was clean- the soap and shampoo appeared to be old; the faucets are in much need of scrubbing and need to be updated. There was only one working outlet in the room. The outlets in the bathroom did work however you really need to have the outlet near the bed working. The lanai was a good size and had a table and chairs. The TV did not work however we did not request it to be looked at. It appeared the restaurant area was being renovated, which we were not aware of and there weren't a ton of food options. The food was ok. And the drinks were ok. Very small Wine list. There is a small beach area, which was very nice and the sand was beautiful. The pool was nice. It did have a swim at bar.

Aug 23, 2026It was an overall, good experience our 10 trip at Cozumel, we have always stayed at the El Cozumeleno resort
Resort is old,but very clean food needs to be updated , menu repeats itself, not really a buffet anymore Room was nice and clean ,bed was bad rooms with king-size bed ,was missing the couch

Great time with family
The hotel staff were very friendly, Our room was clean and comfortable. The beach in the hotel was clean and free of sargassum, and the public areas were very clean and good maintained.

Great place
The staff were very welcoming and kind, the sea was stunning, and the pool was huge; the only downside was the malfunctioning shower in the room, but otherwise, it is highly recommended.
