5 out of 5 family vacay!
5 out of 5. We felt like VIP’s the entire time. We had them arrange our flights to the island and our airport transfers. They took care of us from the moment we landed at Belize city and escorted us through the airport to our next flight. We didn’t wait long at all. I expected we would have to wait an hour or more, but we were escorted to our gate and boarded within 30 minutes of landing. I was impressed and we hadn’t even set foot on the resort property yet. They greeted us in San Pedro and collected our bags for us and escorted us right to the air conditioned shuttle. When we arrived at the resort our room wasn’t ready yet which was to be expected because it wasn’t check in time yet so we went to have lunch at the pool bar and they told us they would come get us when the room was ready. We had a fantastic lunch (get the tostones and ceviche) and by the time we finished our room was ready. The resort was not overly crowded which was very nice. Pools were clean and plenty of seating options. We had a sea view 2 bedroom suite which was perfect. Our favorite pool waiter Wayne took care of us everyday at the pool. The front desk and concierge gave us great restaurant reccommendations and golf cart rental was super easy when needed. We always just told them to keep it open until we returned instead of renting a set number of hours and that worked great an they did not over charge us. Truck Stop was a great casual dinner for the first night! Take a trip to Secret beach to escape the sargassum on this side of the island. Visit Blue Bayou at Secret Beach if you want to be left alone while you enjoy your drinks and food otherwise you will be solicited the entire time you are on the beach over there and even sometimes in the water. Blue Bayou you can go far enough out in water and still get served that the solicitors will leave you alone. You can also rent jet skis in this area for a fun activity. It was an easy golf cart ride from Coco Beach. Overall we were very pleased by the location of the resort which made it very convenient to get anywhere we wanted to go. I can reccomend this resort enough. Rooms are nice and well equipped in the kitchens and the grounds and staff are amazing. We enjoyed all the food and drinks from the pool bar restaurant as well! The sand castle slide in the middle of the main pool was a hit with my son as well as the swim up heated pool area, especially when it rained for a brief moment and we didnt have to worry about being wet or cold since its covered in that area. Kids also enjoyed the kayaks and paddle boards. Truly enjoyed our stay here and would return again.

Beautiful location for island vacation!
Would highly recommend this resort, great and well maintained facilities and excellent service! The dining options at the resort are good and there are lots of options to explore Ambergris Caye. Golf cart rental is available onsite and the hotel does a fantastic job with hotel shuttles. Can't wait to go back!

The Pool Paradise of Ambergris Caye
Coco Beach Resort is an absolute gem. We happened to visit during a slow week, which meant we basically had the massive pool to ourselves, walk-up bar, volleyball net, hot tub, and a water slide that entertained the whole family for days. Add in cornhole, table tennis, hammocks, and chess, and you genuinely never need to leave the pool area. A perfect place to chill after or before any excursions. The location is spot-on. Far enough from the hustle of downtown San Pedro, but close enough to get there easily. We were perfectly positioned between Secret Beach and town, which made everything accessible without feeling like we were in the middle of the action. Some people prefer being downtown, but we loved this location. Everything was easily accessible. We had a two-bedroom suite and it was stocked with ice and water. Perfect for our family of four. The couch was also a pullout. Having a full size fridge and kitchen could be useful, but we ate out. Nice deck overlooking the pool area. TV with lots of channels. The only knock is the bathroom is tiny. But there is a mirror right outside the bathroom that we used as a second vanity. The staff were consistently friendly and attentive without being overbearing. A lightbulb went out in our room and it was addressed immediately. They were helpful with luggage, wake-up calls, and transportation. Even though we arranged our own, they kept checking in to make sure we were taken care of. Don’t miss the daily happy hour from 4–6 PM. The resort also has its own dock, which was a nice bonus. When we booked tours independently, operators could pick us up right there. They offer stand-up paddleboards and have a sweet little beach, though sargassum kept us out of the water at this beach during our stay. It didn’t put a damper on anything. For those who prefer a more hands-off experience, the resort offers tours and golf cart rentals so you never have to figure anything out yourself. We did our own thing, but it’s a great option to have. Coco Beach delivers on every front. We’d go back in a heartbeat.

Nice resort, especially for families.
An excellent resort for families with a water slide, 2 pools, a hot tub. Concierge arranged excursions and snorkeling was very good. Hol Chan was crowded but Mexico Rocks was not as busy.

Nice resort in Ambergris Caye
My family had a great stay at the Coco Beach Resort. We loved the pool. The drinks were great, especially the happy hour specials. The staff at the resort were all fantastic! The WiFi was pretty weak in the room. The beach is not swimable due to sargassum but that’s not the resort’s fault, the sargassum was bad everywhere in on the east side Ambergris Caye. Some tips: if you want to eat off the resort, besides downtown San Pedro, there is a breakfast cafe and lunch place just outside the resort to the right. Rent golf carts from an outside vendor because the onsite prices for carts is expensive. There is ping pong, corn hole bags, volleyball, and hammocks. They also have free kayaks and stand up paddle boards to rent. It was not problem getting poolside chairs any time of day.
