We've been here several times over the last 15 years. It used to be a great resort even though it's older.. The service and food always made it great. But now the service and the food have gone from great to not good. Very disappointing. We won't be back

We have stayed at the Golden several times over the past few years We stayed in April for a month . Overall we had a great time. We have gotten to know the staff quite well . Hola to all the specialty restaurant staff in both sides of resort . They are all very good friends and they take care of us well . Mucho cervesa Fernando .. lol . See you all soon . Front desk , office staff , concierge, and bell boys are helpful and excellent people . Entertainment team are very energetic and keep things moving . Food is good in the restaurants , you can use both sides of resort to eat . If one buffet is not of your liking one day , go over to the family side buffet . You can also book specialty restaurants on both sides. You have to book restaurants quickly at 9 am , they book up fast . Burgers and snacks by the pool all afternoon . Cold beer and drinks everywhere . What more do you need ? . Rooms are a little dated and some do have weak airconditioning… be careful there . I suggest you buy and bring neck fans . Beach is beautiful and you can beach walk for miles . Great sunsets . Now this place is not a 5 star but we wouldn’t be going back if we were not happy with it , could use a little spruce up ..but they are trying , and we love the staff . , One thing not in control of the hotel …. The Tuba Band on the beach , enough already !! . They Drive me crazy. Beach towel games in full swing but when we were there it was nice and quiet for many weeks . We like it like that . overall nice resort
have stayed here many times, the rooms are nice, the food is good, the beach is great, not happy with the chairs being claimed by the pool everyday, but guess thats rather normal now. We ate at the other sides buffet most of the time, much more variety and food hotter than the our side. entertainment was ok to good, at the nitro club, ate at all of the ala cartes and most were pretty good..also great location...not sure I'd stay again, but overall, nice place

David, Carmen, Andric, Marenthia- everyone was amazing!! Today was the best pool party day!! Crown Golden is the best!
