What We Love
- Golden beaches, lush vegetation & gardens surrounding the resort that are impressive.
- No reservations needed at any of the restaurants.
- Working on your tan lines at one of the resorts three pools - the infinity pools views are stunning.
- A kid-friendly resort with clubs for all ages, waterparks and a "Raggs" show, starring five musical pups.
- Grabbing a frosty margarita at Viva Mexico and watching the sun set into the Pacific.
- Beachy and land activities - like volleyball, tennis, catamarans, snorkeling and more.
Things to Know
- You must take in the scenery as you venture to the resort - it's about 45 minutes to paradise.
- The beach town of Sayulita is only 30 minutes away and highly recommended - full of fun little shops and surfing.
- Spending "you time" at Zentropia Spa, but if you want to dip into the spa pools, it will be an extra cost.
- Be sure to check out the on site mini zoo. It's the perfect photo op.
- The seawater pool is adjacent to the ocean and includes a beach area, loungers and umbrellas.

This is not a 5 start hotel
The personnel from the hotel is hunting you all the time trying to sell you something. They try to sell stuff from the SPA, upgrades for restaurant, access to certain shows. They keep insisting even after you decline a couple times. Very annoying. There is no AC in their main restaurant. The food is very bad, the menu is extensive but nothing is specially tasty. There are flies around the food all the time that nobody seems to care to remove. There very few restrooms around the complex. There is only ONE restroom by the pools, ONE restroom at the restaurant. So if you need to go you will most likely need to walk to your bedroom as there is always a line. The beach access this hotel has is very small, the beach is full of rocks, pictures are very misleading. The rooms are old and need maintenance, the restrooms are very humid and water puddles when you take a shower.

I will never come back.
Early check in was promised. This was false. More money was charged. No reservations could be made. Pools were full of bacteria(Wife got an infection). Unauthorized charges were made for “free” coconuts. Rooms weren’t cleaned consistently. Bugs were present. Check I process was horrible. No fans towards guests. Etc.

this is solid 3 star reasort, not 4.5 as advertised
I stayed in this reasort from Aug.8-15. Upon arrival our room was not ready and we stayed first night on the first floor. In the morning, we noticed it was a gartner snake in our room. Mold was in the bath tub. Towels in the room were worned out. Towels were exchanged from 9-6. Make sure that the towel stuff checked you out properly, otherwise they charge $50US. Staff does not speak English, only at a lobby and some waitresses. Swimming pools were open from 8-8. people were asked to get out and wait till 8 AM.

A wonderful resort for families or a grown-up getaway
Grand Palladium Puerto Vallarta was an incredible resort to stay at, we were so pleased with our entire stay. The staff made things extra nice, the restaurants were so helpful with my girlfriend's celiac, ensuring that they could make meals separately for her to ensure no cross-contamination with gluten. My only complaint was that the beds were uncomfortably firm, but that just meant instead of lounging about in bed all morning I got to enjoy the scenery, the wildlife, and the sun all that much more. I would definitely visit here again (and again!)
