BEWARNED NOT KID/FAMILY FRIENDLY No Aruban hospitality
Stayed one night prior to flight. Pros: clean. Large room size. Pseudo-Pro: airport convenience. It is close but still a FAR walk if you have much luggage and /or small children, health condition or are elderly. US departure is on opposite end. No shuttle available despite advertised as such. Cons: Pool is very so so. not kid friendly. Rusted stains all inside. It is a giant wind tunnel. Worse than the beaches bc of the design. Lobby on 3rd floor is also inconvenient. No bellmen to assist with luggage. No milk available for purchase. Not welcoming at all. Feels very solo business traveler. Which is probably the main client but still a disappointment from the Hyatt name. Overall, would not stay again nor recommend. Even if solo traveling. Can't believe we're still in Aruba! Zero hospitality. Also this prime real estate should be bustling and it is such a flop! Numerous empty businesses in main level, bars and kitchens shut down. A very liminal place.

Paradise
It was a good stay, staff are friendly, free breakfast in the morning and free transfer to Eagle Beach and back. I 100% would come back

Very recommended!
The hotel exceeded my expectations. It is truly just steps from the airport, and the facilities are modern, clean, well-organized, and very well maintained. The building also has shops, restaurants, and other amenities, which is extremely convenient since it is located away from the city. The parking is very convenient and was included with my reservation. The pool and rooms were both pleasant, modern, and comfortable. The breakfast is also included and offers a great variety of options. The front desk staff were always attentive and willing to help with everything, providing warm and courteous service.

Unprofessional and disrespectful service
Very disappointing experience with the parking payment at Hyatt Place Aruba. This happened around 3:55–4:00 PM. The self-service machine only accepts cash, while the loket states that card payments are available until 4:30 PM. However, the attendant had left early, with no notice posted to inform customers. When I asked a security guard who came out from the nearby door how I could pay by debit card, he immediately responded rudely, “Read the paper,” instead of simply explaining the situation. He became confrontational, made comments about “locals,” told me he could “be my father,” and when I asked for his name, he replied, “I have nothing to tell you!!” I understand the attendant leaving early may not have been his fault, but the lack of communication and especially the guard’s attitude were extremely disappointing. A simple notice and basic courtesy would have prevented this entire experience. After this experience, I will not be returning to the hotel or using their parking facilities again.

Awful - absolute last resort - if you can sleep in the airport do it
The front desk staff was very good. Good water pressure in the shower, and the bartenders were giving their best effort. That’s the only good thing about this place. Slow service due to being overwhelmed, disgusting smell of mold in the common area, the smell in the room was absolutely disgusting, dirty, gross. If there was another option we would have taken it but our flight was cancelled and there was nothing else available. Nobody was here because they wanted to be here, everyone was a victim of circumstance. I’m sure we’ll need an urgent care visit once we get home for mold exposure….YES it really is that bad, and we love the brand. This is not a real Hyatt, avoid at all costs.
