Great location, clean, quiet and a great staff. The T-Mobile/Coke venue is close and they have a shuttle for other services nearby.

Hyatt San Juan PR
As a Hyatt supporter the experience in San Juan was amazing. Centrally located, amazing view, great cafe and menu to enrich the Puerto Rico pallet was amazing.

Aug 28, 2026Second disappointing stay – serious concerns about service and guest safety
This was my second disappointing experience at Hyatt Place San Juan. I had a negative experience during a previous stay in July, but decided to give the hotel another chance because of its convenient location and family-friendly pool area. Unfortunately, the same check-in issues happened again. I arrived around 2:00 PM and understood that I was early, but by 4:20 PM my room was still not ready. There was a long line at the front desk, and multiple guests were also waiting for rooms. Once we finally received our room, it was clean and everything worked as expected. The following morning, around 10:00 AM, a housekeeping employee knocked loudly on my door and rudely asked whether I had a late checkout, reminding me that checkout was at 11:00 AM. I was fully aware of the checkout time, and it was only 10:00 AM. After having to wait beyond check-in time for my room the day before, being rushed an hour before checkout was especially frustrating. The most concerning part of our stay involved my 3-year-old daughter. She slipped on the stairs in the children’s pool/slide area, hitting the back of her head/neck and then her chin and sustaining visible injuries. For a brief moment, my mother felt that she was not responding. There was no lifeguard present, and to our knowledge no hotel employee came to assist her. My mother went to the front desk asking if anyone trained in first aid could check my daughter. She was told there was no one available and that they could call an ambulance. We understand that emergency medical services may have been the only medical option available. What was disappointing was the lack of empathy, concern, or assistance after an accident involving a small child. Thankfully, my daughter has been doing well. However, after giving this property a second opportunity, the repeated operational problems and especially the response following my daughter’s accident have made me decide not to return.

Great location
Excellent location with shuttle to nearby attractions. Clean and walking distance from Distrito Tmobile. Breakfast was amazing.

Good stay for family with kids
The experience was excellent. Is the second time I stay with my family and we love the hotel, the location is near Old San Juan and Distrito T-Mobile. The breakfast is very good. The service from the employees was very gentle. My three years old son love the kids area at the pool. We will definitely return.
