Our honeymoon stay was absolutely amazing! From the moment we arrived we loved the beauty and incredible atmosphere. Everything was so romantic, peaceful, and the perfect place to celebrate together. The service was top notch from start to finish. Every detail was so thoughtfully taken care of, we couldnt ask for more!

End of stay review
Enrique, William, Alberto, Arturo at papitos were all so amazing and very welcoming. They took really good care of us and their hospitality was amazing. They made the stay at Palafitos so much better. They were also very helpful and easy to access. Made reservations for us and drove us. They were are all so kind and generous.

Sep 03, 2026Looking at this hotel through a different paradigm
Now I understand why this hotel gets all 5 stars. The guests are mostly early 20’s, 30’s on their honeymoon and have never experienced a smarter hotel, nor a butler and I would guess most are wedding gift trips. Most people I spoke to had limited travel experiences and certainly not out of Americas! For us it was really disappointing for a litany of reasons from lack of attention to detail, us having to ask to get things replaced like coffee, creamer, clean coffee cups, ice, towels for the sun beds on our deck etc. it was an over water room, very small for the price, plunge pool was tiny, water under outside our room was shin deep, don’t think you can jump off or dive. Pool isn’t clean at swim up bar, flys and lotion scum, I skimmed it one day myself! Food was a C and repetitive. I WhatsApp our Butler every day to see what the restaurants wouldn’t be serving and out of that day! People really tried but they weren’t given the tools to do a great job. They handled the sargassum very well I have to say. Aldo, William, Eduardo are definitely a great group of workers. I think the main problem is on me because I have stayed at the St Regis in Bora Bora so this was a foolish choice on my behalf! Don’t understand why you won’t give me a bottle of Titos but will give me multiple glasses of a Tito’s with no ice or mixer?! We left and went to Rosewood Mayakoba. Would I return, no, if I’m spending over $1,000 a night I’m in the Ritz column! But the staff tried, too much cost cutting!

Great bungalow experience
Excellent experience Alberto it’s super nice he help us with everything same as Fernanda and Yassel who make all the diner reservations and activities. The hotel in general amazing amenities and the food to died for 100% recommended.

Tranquility at its finest
Sadly writing this review as we pull away from one of the most beautiful, tranquil places on earth. Staff from our drivers, to the expert friendly transport around resort from Alberto, our butlers Daniel & Enrique, the restaurants staff & activity supervisors were all excellent. We loved our jet ski and catamaran/snorkeling tours. But mostly loved lounging in our unbelievable bungalow staring at the azure/emerald water from our deck and plunge pool, with great room service. We met friendly couples and bar service at the pool. Truly a 5* experience all around and the perfect getaway to celebrate our 20th anniversary. Can’t wait to come back!
