5 nt stay family with small kids
Great stay overall ! Stayed for 5 nights with small children. Frangel helped us with check out. Staff were friendly and food was decent. I would say it served the purpose of our trip. It was not overly packed which we preferred anyway. Maybe service could have been more attentive, but again we thought it may be slower because it wasn't busy season.

The best concierge!
We were at Paradisus Punta Cana 10 years ago as our 10 year anniversary and we came back as our 20 year anniversary thinking Paradisus Grand Cana was same place. Unfortunately Paradisus Punta Cana closed during pandemic and this was the newer facility. (I say all this so that people know) When you go on an all inclusive vacation with a family concierge service, what is number 1 thing that's important? Yes, concierge! Our concierge Fransua was a world class concierge. From a very simple restaurant reservation to a detailed care throughout the day from the moment you wake up to the moment you go back to your suite, Fransua was the best concierge I've ever met. Paradisus Grand Cana utmost friendly staff and excellent service from anyone with their name tag. Amenities are great. And the nightly activities at Funrepublic was just another level of entertainment. Would I go back to Paradisus Grand Cana? Yes and I want Fransua to be my concierge again!

Go anywhere else
I booked a vacation for myself and my friends back in May at this resort hoping it would live up to the positive reviews. Unfortunately, the customer service of this resort is unbelievably disorganized and unhelpful. My flight into the Dominican Republic was cancelled due to a mechanical issue with our plane. I immediately reached out to the resort and asked if there was a potential I could push our 4 day reservation back by one day so that we could stay for all four days we had already paid for. They said that there was availability and that it shouldn’t be a problem. We arrive at the resort, I discussed the matter with the customer service at the front desk. They tell me to arrange it through my travel agency that I booked with. I called them and attempted to have them coordinate with the hotel. For whatever reason, there was a complete lack of communication between my travel agency and the hotel. I spent hours every single day of our vacation in the office trying to get someone to help figure this out for me. I was on the phone with the agency and sitting with the customer service representatives MULTIPLE times trying to get this resolved. I even handed the phone over to the hotel workers at one point to try to get some sort of resolution. They pretended it had been worked out on day 2 and said everything was all set. On day 3, I went to book a dinner reservation for our final night when it gave me an error.. because it in fact had not been worked out and I was still scheduled to leave the next day. Again, I went to the customer service representatives and they told me to call my travel agent. Apparently there was an email sitting in someone from the hotels “e-commerce” departments inbox that would have fixed the situation. But of course at this point it was a Saturday. Nobody from e-commerce works on the weekend! Fantastic! I spoke with the manager about the predicament and his ground breaking solution was that I pay out of pocket for an additional night at the resort (which I had already paid for and they were refusing to honor despite having availability)… yeah kick rocks. All of this to say, if there is ANY sort of issue with your booking… good luck getting anyone to help you. You will get the run around, they do not care how much money you spent to be there. The food was very underwhelming to top it all off, the only place worth eating at is the steakhouse which is impossible to get a table at. The workers at the pool were constantly hitting on myself and my friends which made us very uncomfortable as well. They also were walking around with QR codes for review sites trying to force us to leave 5 star reviews. Explains why the reviews are so overwhelmingly positive. Will never be returning to this place again.
