A Motel 6 on the beach

Location is right on the beach...Saturday the hotel restaurant seemed to close at 3am. But, you will be required to sign an affidavit that you will temper your noise. The room was 1970s, the AC sounded like an airplane reviving up every time it came on. The towels were thin and rough. No coffee pot, no cups, but water bottles were provided...1/person daily. The toilet was held by string, literally. The toilet water ran if not adjusted after each use. Plumber was called everyday (3×) bc when it wasn't running water, the toilet could not be flushed. The toilet was held by a string. (SEE PICTURE ) These issues were tolerateble for 2 nights. Arrived Friday, left Sunday morning. Staff like bellman and receptionist were great...housekeepers were dismissive. When I requested a pot to heat water for tea, received the electric water heater, 2 cups with saucers, 1 spoon. The hotel has no coffee maker or associated amenities. Also, I requested this twice before I received what I got...1st time on hotel phone after arrival to the room; second time, directly to receptionist. Location is central to everything. There is a 24 hr store very close. Restaurant food is basic. We ate away from the hotel everytime except for breakfast on last day; for convenience. This place was filled with families with small children thus demonstrating the clientele it caters to. Advertisement online is deceptive. This place needs a major renovation. I would never go back to nor recommend playa los arcos.

Hotel with Great Location, Family Friendly

The hotel is in a fantastic location and was a great price. We could walk anywhere in the Romantic Zone easily. I must have missed how much they cater to families, because the pool was overran with children which isn't our style. The hotel is a little more run down than the photos show, but it was overall a good experience. It probably isn't for you if you want to be in the pool and not be around kids.

Best place to stay in puerto vallarta, playa los arcos hotel

I love inviting my friends and family to Los Arcos in Puerto Vallarta. The staff is very nice and the environment and a hotel is very inviting. I would like to thank Yolanda the hotel concierge for always making my booking easier and always working with me to get me the best price. I would also like to give a shout out to the bartenders Luis and Omar for always taking care of us when we are there and making sure we always have a drink in our hand and of course I would like to thank Adrian for making sure that there are activities going on in the pool and it makes being in the pool, very fun! lastly, the bell boys are always ready to help and are always willing to do it with a smile on her face I recommend anyone that is thinking of going to Puerto Vallarta to stay a Playa Los Arcos hotel.

Great location, just check what room you are getting

Dear readers, it was a rough start coming here, but was quickly remedied when we mentioned our disappointment with the room. This hotel is going through a slow remodeling process, and updating rooms individually. We initially were in an old room, and for 4 people it was small, small, and old. Thankfully the new room was much larger and more comfortable for the 4 of us. The hotel is located in the zone de romanticas. It is a very LGBTQ friendly area, with a lot of great shops, restaurants, and things to do. The pool is in the middle with an adult only pool by the beach, which we loved. It is small, but most people there are families with young children. We loved watching the people walk by on the boardwalk, which is another fun thing to do in that area. The service was good, everyone is so friendly. The all inclusive is a little deceiving, we thought all the restaurants connected to the hotel were included...this is not the case, although I would recommend adding it, and charging a little more, because that would be a great incentive. The food at those restaurants was excellent. The buffet was hit or miss, I enjoyed the hot food prepared in front of you the most, the already prepared food items were ok. They did have one of the best cinnamon rolls I have ever had, and unfortunately it was only there one day. The spa was great, and the service I had with Flora completely calmed my sun burns. I highly recommend it if you get burned. I also recommend walking across the street to casa Suzanna, the adults only pool on the roof was so nice and calm. The only other issue we had is there are not enough sun beds by the pool, that is a huge problem when the hotel is full, we would never get enough for us to sit and had to share one. The concierge was extremely helpful in getting us situated with a private boat, and we enjoyed swimming at the Arcos…Overall we enjoyed our trip, thanks to the staff, area, and fun things we did there.
