An Amazing Anniversary and Birthday Stay!
We stayed at Secrets Bahía Mita Resorts from August 29–September 4 to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary and birthday, and from the moment we arrived, we knew we were in for a special stay. We were greeted with cold towels and champagne, and check-in was quick and seamless. We stayed in a Panoramic Partial Ocean View King Room (1501), and the view was absolutely amazing! The resort is huge, so there is quite a bit of walking, but honestly, we didn’t mind at all—especially because there was so much amazing food to walk it off! The food throughout the resort was exceptional, but Bordeaux was definitely our favorite restaurant. We enjoyed it so much that we ate there both our first and last nights. Our waiter, Juan, was absolutely incredible. He provided such warm, attentive, and personalized service that we actually requested him again for our second visit. He truly went above and beyond and was one of the highlights of our stay. Juan is definitely a star! Another person who made our stay extra special was Mario at the Preferred Skybar on the 8th floor. His service was outstanding, and our drinks and shots seemed to keep coming without us even having to ask. That level of attentiveness really made us feel taken care of. Overall, Secrets Bahía Mita is definitely one of our favorite resorts! The combination of top-notch service, incredible food, beautiful views, and amazing amenities made our 25th anniversary celebration one we won’t forget. We would highly recommend this resort and are already making plans to come back—with our 21- and 17-year-olds next time! Thank you to everyone at Secrets Bahía Mita who made our celebration so special!

A Relaxing and Sophisticated Experience
We had a wonderful 8 nights at Secrets Bahia Mita. Everyone we encountered at Bahia was very authentic, friendly, and super helpful. From Azucena at breakfast, Beatriz in housekeeping, Victor at the beach, or Geovani our butler - staff anticipated needs and delivered a relaxed yet high level experience. The food was also a highlight with fresh, healthy, and delicious options. Breakfast was delicious every morning and we loved Portofino which makes fresh pasta, Mezes which has authentic Greek food, and Bordeaux which offers a sophisticated French menu and ambience.

Fabulous Experience at Secrets (and Dreams) Bahia Mita!
I want to strongly recommend Secrets/Dreams Bahia Mita Surf & Spa in Puerta Vallarta, MX. I returned on Sunday from a week-long vacation with family, and this was my 2nd visit to the property in 4 weeks. Staff: The staff are all extremely friendly and helpful, constantly asking if they could do anything to help. I stayed in a Preferred Room, and as a result, had a butler. Geo - my butler for this last week - was extremely friendly and helpful. He made us a reservation for the hibachi experience, and he helped us resolve a few early room issues. He checked on us each day and provided the activity/entertainment schedule daily. 8th Floor Preferred Pool/Bar Area: This was our FAVORITE place to hang out during the day. ALL of the staff were extremely attentive and friendly. Waiters: Mario, Julio, Miguel, and the other waiters whose names I did not get, as well as pool concierge staff: Maria Olvera, Sheyla Gomez, Diego Rivera were AMAZING. Best staff on the property. They are constantly refilling drinks and make the experience at the 8th floor the very best. Kudos to everyone working up there! Food: Delicious and Lots of Options! I have traveled to a lot of all-inclusive resorts, and the food at this Secrets is some of the very best. We loved Bordeaux for their food and atmostphere, but especially their camembert cheese appetizer and creme brulee dessert! We returned many times for dessert because it was so good. We also loved Portofino (Italian) for the food and the atmosphere. Their sea bass, specialty pastas, and breads were outstanding - as were their desserts. We also loved the Mezes Restaurant (mediterranean) for dinner and buffet breakfast. The multitude of food choices at breakfast were terrific. They have a station for crepes/waffles, omelettes and eggs, Mexican breakfast grill, bagels, seafood/sushi, fruits, cheese, and lots of bread options. The restaurant is on the 6th floor, with a view of the water/property, so it was lovely. We did not eat on the Dreams side, but it's important to note that Secrets and Dreams have separate restaurant/food options. No children can be on/eat at the Secrets restaurants. This was a PLUS for us. Entertainment: The entertainment options at Secrets are limited. There are fewer evening shows than other Secrets properties, and the resort does not have a dedicated entertainment venue. They use an outdoor lobby bar area, as well as other public spaces. The dancers who performed the Moulin Rouge and Boogie Nights and Tango shows were OUTSTANDING. However, they deserve a dedicated performance space on the property. Activities: There are a number of excellent physical/pool activities offered at Secrets/Dreams. There were lots of options on the Dreams side, for sure. Less options on the Secrets side. However, morning yoga outside on the beach, as well as strength training/conditioning classes in the gym each morning were FANTASTIC. We loved the US-based, visiting instructors who taught those classes. We also thoroughly enjoyed an aqua fitness class taught by an American aqua instructor. Her energy and workout were terrific. Kudos to Secrets/Dreams for offering these opportunities. Speaking of activities, I must give a huge shout-out to NORA, who is the E-Team professional in the fitness center. She is the best of the best, so kind and helpful. She led the daily spin class, but she also looks after the fitness center. Truly, she is terrific! Pools: The water was HOT, too hot. Think jacuzzi-hot during the day. I would love it if the staff would pump in COOL water into the pools throughout the day. That would be a great improvement. There is one swim-up bar on each side of the resort. The Secrets bar was always packed, and there is shade there (another reason it is always packed). The indoor spaces are generally on the warm-side. While there is A/C, I benefitted from two portable fans that I carried with me. If you run hot, bring a portable fan! That being said, the A/C in our room worked great, and the room was always very comfortable. The Coco Cafe is also nice and cool, and offered a massive variety of food and drinks throughout the day. Kudos to the staff there! They could make anything, and they were so friendly. Room: We had a nice room, large and with a view of the water, because we were Preferred. We had 2 beds + a small couch, a nice sized balcony with a 'plunge pool' that had cool water running all day long. The housecleaning staff were TERRIFIC. They cleaned each day and did turn-down service every evening. Through the app, you can submit maintenance and housekeeping requests, and that worked very well. Overall, this was a fantastic property! I would highly recommend it to anyone - adults only, families with kids (especially for their water-park, pickle ball courts, kids club), groups of people. It is 5-Star, for sure!
