Beware of vacation club presentation. High pressure and stressful way to ruin your trip.
I am writing this review to warn people about the vacation club presentation. It’s the most uncomfortable high pressure sales job I have ever been subjected to. Never again will I listen to another anywhere ever for any amount of offer. Additionally, we had the worst dining experience at Mako (3 out of 4 dishes were flat not good). I would definitely avoid that Mako. Rooms were very nice and so were the other restaurants as we tried them all.

Loved Solaz and Cabo
We had a wonderful stay at Solaz. This is a gorgeous beach resort in a perfect location between Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo. It has a sleek design yet still feels luxurious and tropical. The infinity pool with swim-up bar overlooking the ocean was our favorite spot to relax and enjoy a cocktail. The staff were all very knowledgable and friendly. Shout out to our concierge, Lea. Everything she recommended was top tier including transportation, activities and restaurants. Her communication with us before and during our stay was clear, detailed and always so enthusiastic. Thank you Lea! We are already excited to return next year!

Beware
Such a beautiful resort, which is why we are sad to have to write this review. Because the location and amenities were so lovely, we decided to attend the presentation for the vacation club- which we never do. We invested several hours carefully listening to, and weighing, the options and decided that we were not prepared to commit to 25+ years of payments and fees equivalent to many families' mortgages. We declined. We were then handed off to a "final person to sign us out", his name was Edgar. Edgar then introduced himself not as a vacation club employee to sign us out but as "a representative of the resort ownership group". This was in full sight of everyone else, so we had no reason to be suspicious of Edgar or his conversation with us. At the end, we were offered, and accepted, a package of vacations at Solaz with no additional fees or membership. We reviewed all details carefully with Edgar during and after the process. When the membership confirmation arrived via email several weeks later I logged into the account. There was no record of the terms we had agreed to available on the website. I reached out to the membership department and was responded to with terms that were wildly different from what we had purchased. Several back and forth communications, including me sending both the contract AND Edgar's handwritten notes only resulted in "we are sorry you misunderstood, do you want us to cancel your membership?". Not once did anyone offer to connect us with Edgar for clarification. We did not misunderstand anything. We took detailed notes and considered the decision very carefully before saying yes. This was deceptive, manipulative, and shows a complete lack of integrity on their part. We confirmed cancellation of the membership, as what they were offering was not what we had agreed to. Even then, we never received the refund from them and had to file a fraud claim with our credit card to get our money back. What a massive disappointment on all fronts. Our family was looking forward to enjoying the beautiful resort and our trust has been broken in wanting to believe that people and businesses will do what they say they are going to do. Don't attend their presentation, it is several hours of your life (and possibly a lot of your money) that you won't get back.

1st, but not Last
This was our 1st time to Solaz, after owning for years at Hacienda del Mar. The experience was top notch- everything from the service to the rooms to the grounds. Extra special shout out to Aremis at the front desk, who always greeted us by our name, Ricardo at the adult pool who was beyond attentive and Angel, the most helpful and friendly valet. The service at the family pool was lacking, didnt seem like any of the waiters wanted to take our order. We were a bit disappointed with the restaurants at Solaz. Not only pricey but the menu selection was limited; almost like it was trying too hard to be exclusive. Also, kudos to the sales team. The obligatory sales breakfast did not feel high pressure at all.

Must go for spring break as a family
We had standing time at Solaz! Josue and Benjamin made the trip so enjoyable. They helped with all our needs and were great with the kids. The pool was so nice the food was great and our kids had a blast meeting other kids at the kids club and by the pool. The resort was beautiful and our two bedroom room was just perfect for us to share
