    Butler Service is a MUST!

Our family of five, including our three little ones, had an absolutely amazing experience at The Royal at Atlantis! My husband had stayed at a different resort in the Bahamas just a month prior, and after our experience at Atlantis, he couldn’t stop talking about how much the service here blew the other hotel away. Hector, Roubin, Leroy, Alphonso, Josh, Shavanah, Ally, Anthony, and the entire butler team were truly phenomenal. They went above and beyond every single day and made us feel so welcomed and cared for. What impressed us most was the way they prioritized not only our family, but our entire party—including my parents who traveled with us—and especially our children. Everyone was so warm, fun, attentive, and genuinely happy to make our trip special. Traveling with three young children isn’t always easy, but this team made everything feel effortless. They made our kids feel important, made every day exciting, and completely blew us away with their level of service. We left feeling like we had experienced something truly special. We will absolutely be coming back to Atlantis and already can’t wait to hopefully have another experience just like this one. A huge thank you to the entire team for making our family vacation so memorable! ❤️

    Worse experience dealing with stuff

Hotel is good, but people who work there hard to deal with. Charged me for 2 weeks but I booked for 3 days, didn’t want to give my money back

    Wonderful guest services

Dear Atlantis Senior Management Team, I am writing to formally recognize and commend Aaliyah M. of The Royal at Atlantis for the truly exceptional service she provided during my recent stay. During my trip, I encountered a significant and frustrating issue involving the redemption of loyalty points associated with my reservation. Unfortunately, my attempts to resolve the matter through the appropriate channels proved extremely difficult, and the situation remained unresolved for much of the week. Aaliyah’s involvement made an extraordinary difference. From the beginning, she demonstrated a level of compassion, empathy, professionalism, and personal accountability that far exceeded what I would normally expect in a customer service interaction. She took the time to understand the situation fully, recognized the frustration it was causing, and approached the matter with genuine concern rather than treating it as simply another guest complaint. Most importantly, Aaliyah was diligent and persistent. She continued working toward a solution, followed through, and made me feel that someone was genuinely advocating on my behalf. Thanks to her efforts and determination, the matter was ultimately resolved by the end of the week. What stood out to me most was not simply that she helped resolve the issue, but how she handled the entire situation. At every stage, she was gracious, attentive, reassuring, and professional. Her attitude reflected the highest standard of hospitality and transformed what could have been one of the most frustrating aspects of my trip into an experience that ultimately left me with an even greater appreciation for Atlantis and its staff. Properties such as Atlantis are known for their accommodations, amenities, and overall guest experience, but employees like Aaliyah are what truly distinguish an organization. Her ability to make a guest feel heard, valued, and cared for is a quality that cannot easily be taught and should be recognized. I sincerely hope this commendation is shared not only with Aaliyah, but also with her immediate supervisors and senior leadership. In my opinion, she represents Atlantis exceptionally well and is precisely the kind of employee an organization should recognize, retain, and encourage others to emulate. Please extend my deepest appreciation to Aaliyah for her kindness, persistence, and outstanding service. She made a lasting impression on me, and I am very grateful for everything she did.

Nice ambiance soiled by some poor condition and experiences

The Good: -The staff was largely friendly and welcoming. -The ambiance of the building being aquatic/Atlantis themed was well-done. Especially the many aquariums and water park. Some examples are the the steep drop slides going into the shark tank with many sharks in it, or the 'Abyss' slide dropping you into a secret water pool cave with exclusive fish tanks all around that you'll only see in the secret cave! Very cool and adventurous! Some tube sides exit and drop you into the rapid river which is unique and extends the ride experience. -We went during busy season in September and there were plentiful lawn chairs at the water park and music wasn't blaring party deafening music. -The hotel room A/C can get cold! Sometimes hotel have a temperature inhibitor to cut off the A/C, but it doesn't seem to have this or is set much lower than some hotels. -All the campus bathrooms are clean and well maintained. The water park exclusive bathroom buildings also have A/C which was a pleasant surprise! The Bad: -Our entire group party were all individually booked to the wrong room (wrong bed size/quantity and view). Most of us didn't care enough to bother, but the married couple wanted their king size bed (not 2 queens) and the correct view. So they requested the correct room change, and were told to wait in the incorrect room on standby until the correct room could be prepared. 4 hours later, they had to call the front desk who confirmed the room was ready and they forgot to move them. -The waterpark could benefit from additional slide options. For a park of that size and cost, there could be an increase in the amount of slides. It does not compete with other official water parks. -Outside of movie nights at the theater (who wants to waste time watching movies on vacation?), putt putt, an aquarium feeding and viewing, the water park, and the casino, the resort lacks activities. It could benefit from shows, aquatic events, aquarist lead tours/events, and/or easier to book and identifiable events around the island for active activities. -My room had food left on the floor, partially obscured by the dresser, which was likely why it was missed. -The A/C was leaking water all over the floor. I had to call for repair and to vacuum up the water, which did not get all the water, so the room was left smelling rank/moldy/musty. -2 of the four bed mounted reading lights did not work. The behind-the-bed wall lighting accent did not work. -The shower spout diverter was dumping half of the shower water through the diverter, wasting half the water down into the drain and reducing shower head pressure. -The room "message waiting" light flashed perpetually, despite calling the voicemail attempting to clear it. I had to cover the phone at night to prevent incessant red light flashing in my face. -Many drains at the water park are all backed up and overflowing, causing water pooling and staff to sweep water into bushes. -The shower drying line had what appears to be black mold spackled across it. -The maid had mistakenly left a black-soiled dirty cleaning cloth draped over sanitized beauty products. -I called the housekeeping phone directory at night to request another pillow, but the facility was closed for calls. I then called the front desk, which was also closed for calls. I went all the way back to the front desk and requested the pillow in person, then walked around to stall for time. I waited back at the room and no pillow. So it was either forgotten or the pillow was not left at the door. I went back down to talk to the staff again, but there is only 1 staff at night and there was a line. I waited 10 minutes, and the line did not move. So I gave up and went to bed without the extra pillow. -I ordered a drink at the water park snack stand and it was forgotten. I went back to the attendant to ask for it again, and she started bickering with the other staff member about who had forgotten it. -I had went to the front desk to get an additional key made since I left mine locked in the room. My original key was deactivated and the staff did not notify me. So when I tried to use my original key another time, I was again locked out of the room since I was not informed! I went back to the desk to get another key again and there was an issue with getting the key made. After some extended time fiddling with the console, the attendant switched consoles and had then finally had the key made. -There was a charge for $340 from a restaurant that I did not purchase!! I had to contest this at the front desk. They read out what was ordered and I did not order ANY of that. There was even alcohol and I do not drink. I told had them remove it while they 'investigated' but now I see the full charge on my credit card bill. So I will have to call again and contest and fight this!! -There was a cockroach in my room! Maybe it was attracted to the pooling water from the AC or the food left on the ground from previous occupant the that maid missed. Regardless, there seems to be an infestation in the hotel.
